Dr. Haithem Murgham is an Associate Professor in the Built Environment department at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, and the coordinator of the HVAC-R program. He is also an ASHRAE Student Branch Advisor (SBA) for the Dayton Area Student Branch (Sinclair, Wright State, Cedarville, AFIT). He has seven years of experience in various industries, including manufacturing and high-tech environments leading project scheduling and budgeting to successfully and quickly complete engineering projects. His work experience in the industrial field allowed him to play an important role in the teaching environment and filling the gap between traditional education and the skills required in the student’s future career. Dr. Murgham earned his Ph.D. and master’s degree in mechanical engineering with a concentration in renewable energy and sustainability from the University of Dayton. Dr. Murgham’s passion for renewable energy and sustainability got him involved in investigating potential energy savings in refrigeration systems. Dr. Murgham’s work led to two patents, US-10641535-B2 and US-11536504-B2.
